Soap Opera Dash: Parody or Philippines
I just finished my add-on levels of Cooking Dash yesterday and on a whim decided to search the AppStore for more Dashes—by this I mean time management games by Play First like Diner Dash (done), Wedding Dash (done), Hotel Dash (done), and Cooking Dash.
Imagine my surprise when I saw Soap Opera Dash. In this game, you are Rosie, the set’s Girl Friday/Can-do everything.
Your job as Rosie...

hellolulu, I love you
I first came across hellolulu during a trip to Bangkok.
Central Chidlom was a shopping center near our hotel and I remember seeing this cute laptop bag in the stationery area.
I was hesitant to get it at first because 1) I had blown my budget on makeup already and 2) it was taupe on the outside, clearly a shade not found in my accessories closet.
However, the bag’s design and compartments won...

Cupcake + Bears = Awesomesauce
I came across Wedgienet’s, (aka illustrator Reg Silva) super kawaii drawings via my friend’s Twitter feed when she ordered some cute hand-cut stickers in the shape of cupcake bears.
Being the obsessed person collector that I am, I ordered some stuff from her:
It even came with a handwritten note.
And free buttons!
The cupcake bears in sticker form.
And as a tumbler…on...

Moleskine: More than paper
News from Moleskine:
“Writing, Travelling and Reading. The new Moleskine collections include bags, pencils, pens, reading glasses, computer cases, a rechargeable reading light and an e-reader stand.”
As if they weren’t siphoning enough money from me already.
No actual photos of the new collection yet, just these teaser sketches. The collection is designed by Giulio Iacchetti, and...

Softcore in Seoul
I was channel surfing the other night and came across what looked like an ‘80s movie based on the hair, clothes and makeup.
The scene I tuned into was this witch/sorceress who was invading a guy’s dream telling to give up because she was basically gonna win. I thought “Oooooh! Goody, A witchcraft/warlock B movie!!” (B movies are my favorite. I live for made-for-TV movies with titles like “A...

Ho-ho-hostel
I keep forgetting that the pen pal photo rule also applies when it comes to hotels, ie, to see is to believe the lie.
When I saw the site for Seoul Backpackers, they promised cutesy rooms at very affordable prices.
They did deliver on the affordable part, and I’m so glad I was such a high roller that I decided to spring for the, ehem, suite slash double room.
First off, no elevator....
The hunt for mobile Internet in Korea
Hello!!! It’s so cold here and it even snowed a bit today!! But just really quick, like a drizzle (snizzle?). It’s absolutely crazy, I thought I had my whole mobile Internet planned out—I was going to data roam using my Singapore prepaid SIM (daily usage capped at SG$15), so I loaded my SIM w enough top-up to last me my whole trip here…only to find out that I had somehow...

My First Sprain
Whoever said “walk with purpose with your head up high” or some other shit like that obviously never had to walk inside Coffee Bean to use the restroom.
I walked with purpose (to the restroom) with my head held up high—which was how I found myself SPLAT! suddenly on all fours by the glass doors.
I never thought I’d be on all fours and in pain. After all, I’ve heard so...

The Regimen
Amy Adams as Julie Powell in Julie & Julia said:
“Blogging is like a regimen you have to do everyday, like sit-ups.”
That kinda explains a lot why my blog is so dusty, and my tummy poochy. LOL.
