Wanted: The Perfect Vet
It’s 12:30 am and I had just come from a 24-hour vet clinic in Mandaluyong called Vets in Practice.  One of my furry babies, Gucci, had a nosebleed, and while it wasn’t a gush of blood (just a trickle that stopped immediately), I felt that it needed a vet’s attention because we’ve been having a bad case of tick infestation & better to be an alarmist than be sorry later....

Love & The Penal Code
I caught a screening of “I Love You Phillip Morris” and it wasn’t what I quite expected.   I’m not going to spoil it for you, but after having watched it, I must say that Ewan McGregor has grade-A prime acting chops.   I like him better as a penis-wielding gay inmate than a light-saber wielding, Force-applying Jedi, even though the light-saber brandishing had more...

Pack Rats Anonymous
My name is Tatin & I’m a pack rat. My bag weighs a ton and a half and my idea of packing light is leaving behind one pen. I have seven different lip balms in my bag, and end up not using a single one even when my lips feel dry & cracked (I lick them instead). I have a tiny netbook so it won’t be as heavy as an actual laptop, but I fear that the extra extended battery,...

Nomadic Wednesday
I woke up this morning with a heavy head, a stuffy nose and no electricity.  We’ve been hit by the scheduled power outages throughout the metro and according to Grace, we’ve been juice-less since 6 am.   No ice in the fridge, no fan to cool me down, no a/c to stave off the awful heat.   Thank God for Powerplant (the mall, not the alternative energy source), where I am waiting out...

design is mine : isn't it lovely? →
Thanks to my new netbook, I’ve been super obsessed with searching for the cutest desktop wallpapers.  I’m a big fan of Cath Kidston and while searching for her desktop wallpapers (she has some free patterns up for grabs at her official site), I came across this design site that just makes my eyes drool (sounds gross, but true).  She features sumptuous color and spaces that make you...

The Postman Always Rings Twice, Thrice, Four...
My March is officially “gadget month” as the tech stuff I purchased started trickling in little by little.   First arrived baby P.  One afternoon spent in procrastination fatefully prompted me to check out Sony’s site where I saw a higher-spec incarnation of my first-generation Vaio P, and the clincher was that it came in pink.  I hemmed and hawed, but eventually the pull was...

So many...so little time
My poor, poor Tumblr page.  It was one of the casualties of the post-indie-film frenzy of activity in my life. Deadline upon deadline upon deadline piled up (speaking of which, I owe you a shopping story, M!) and while I’m not complaining, some things had to take a backseat, things very near & dear to me like: 1.  blogging 2.  tweeting 3.  my TV shows!  The horror, I’ve never...
